Attention: “Made in Germany”
The Google search for gold detectors indicate many fake devices from abroad, which are offered as "Made in Germany" – but there are only a few manufacturers of metal detectors in Germany.
Most "Made in Germany" providers are fraudsters from abroad who replicate devices in China and Turkey and advertise through dubious dealers fake devices with unrealistic features and fictional specifications, like long range metal detectors.
When buying a metal detector from German manufacturer, the following hints protect against fraudsters:
- German certificate of origin
Ask for the certificate of origin from the German manufacturer. This official document is only issued by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce for each device, which was manufactured in Germany and is therefore only available for registered German manufacturers. - Check manufacturer address and certificates
Suppliers from abroad advertise with false certificates. Often the certificates are simply created by themselves. Therefore, check whether an authority or official body has issued the document, because other certificates are useless.
The official address of a German manufacturer can be obtained from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Often it turns out that the specified address and the alleged manufacturer do not exist. - Visit the German manufacturer
Many alleged German manufacturers are only dealers of foreign devices and for a short time to find at the given address. The dubious dealers spread rumours about other brands and recommend only devices with high profit for them.
A reliable German manufacturer of metal detectors has been verifiable on the market for many years and offers service and warranty services in the own enterprise. The purchase from the manufacturer offers also the possibility to have the products explained by the technicians and to take your device immediately.
